How to let Carv join your meeting

  • Carv only automatically joins virtual meetings based on your calendar connection. If there's a link in your calendar event, Carv should join based on your recording preference.

    • Ensure that the meeting link is included in either the location, description, or integration field of the calendar event. Do not include more than one meeting link in the event.

  • If you want to manually add Carv to an (instant) Zoom, Meet, or Teams meeting, you can use the 'Add Carv to live meeting' functionality.

15-Minute Notice Period

  • It's important to note that our bots require a minimum of 15 minutes notice prior to the meeting's start time. Although our bots can usually join meetings with just 5 minutes notice, we recommend scheduling your meetings at least 15 minutes in advance to ensure a bot is able to join and record your meeting.

Recording Preferences

  • Double check the calendar event, and that it is aligned with the recording preferences you have set for your Carv account.

  • Click here to read more about what each recording preference means.

Videoconferencing Links

  • Deleted or Previous Meeting Link

    • Your event may have entered a link to a meeting that was deleted by the host, or was scheduled to occur in the past.

  • At this time, we do not support custom links. If you use a scheduling tool that changes your meeting link (e.g. by adding your company name to it), chances are that Carv will not join your meetings. Please send us a message if that seems to be happening to you.

If after reading this you still think Carv should have joined your meeting...

  • Please send us a message with the title and start time of the meeting, and ideally an (anonymized) screenshot of the calendar invite.
