What is the difference between Shared and Private meetings?

  • Shared meetings are meetings that are accessible to everyone on your Carv workspace (under the "Workspace" tab).

  • Private meetings are meetings are only accessible to the people in your workspace who recorded the call with Carv (under the "Mine" tab).

How to make meetings Shared or Private on Carv?

By default, meetings land in Carv as Shared meetings. However, you can update that configuration and make a meeting Private before or after a meeting.

  • Before a meeting: When you sign in to app.carv.com, you land on the Home page. Here, you find an overview of your upcoming meetings, where you can set whether you want to record them, and update the privacy setting.

  • After a meeting: After a meeting lands in Carv, you can see the privacy setting of the meeting from the meeting library. If you want to make a meeting Private: 1) Click the meeting to open it; 2) Click the โ€˜eyeโ€™ icon on the top right, and select Private.

Note that if you want to completely remove a meeting from Carv, you should delete it instead.

What if one person makes a meeting public and the other makes it private?

The privacy setting is on a meeting level. This means that the last change to the privacy setting is how it will land/show in Carv. If one person makes it private (before or after the meeting), it will be private. Only people who recorded the call can change the privacy setting and decide if the meeting should be Private or Shared.
